1. International Education Week

International Education Week (IEW) is an annual joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education. Learn more here.

Held each November, IEW celebrates the diverse international experiences and educational opportunities that enrich our campus. The week features a variety of activities, including cultural events, academic discussions, and networking opportunities.

2. Global Week

Every April, this week-long event highlights the University of Rochester’s commitment to international partnerships, research excellence, global education, diversity, and reputation-building through a series of activities across the institution.

  • Global Awards
    The University of Rochester Global Awards recognize individuals who have significantly contributed to the institution’s global mission of Meliora. These awards highlight the importance of community engagement, faculty research, and transformative student learning experiences, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to global engagement and excellence.   • Global Photo Contest Celebrating international experiences and perspectives through photography, this contest invites participants to showcase their global and cultural journeys.
